Minister of Religion Tier2

You can come to the UK as a Minister of Religion if you have been offered a job by a faith community (for example, a mosque, church or other places of worship), you are from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland and you meet the other eligibility criteria.

To be eligible for this visa, your employer must be a licenced sponsor and offer you certain amount of salary. Once they confirm you can do the job they are hiring you for, they will issue you a Certificate of Sponsorship to enable you to apply for a visa.

As a Minister of Religion, you can:

work for your sponsor in the job described in your certificate of sponsorship
do a second job - in certain circumstances
do voluntary work
study as long as it does not interfere with the job you’re sponsored for
travel abroad and return to the UK
bring family members (‘dependants’) with you

You can stay in the UK for a maximum of 6 years. You and your family members cannot apply for Indefinite leave to remain.
